The Butterfly Shawl is an elegant design, with a spectacular drape. It has a semicircle shape, with a wide, openwork hem at the bottom. This gives it a slightly wavy shape at the ends and you can weave using two color combinations, or just one shade.
It is knitted from the top down, an intermediate level project and one size fits all.
Measures: 170 cm wide and 60 cm long.
Yarn:
Color 1: Fingering or Sport thickness 150 grs/ 500 meters
Suggested yarn: Lino Tienda Hilar
Color 2: Fingering thickness/ 25 grs/ 130 meters
Suggested yarn: Phil Brillant Phildar (15% Polyester, 85% Viscose)
Chopstick thickness: Circular toothpicks of 3-3.5 mm or the thickness depending on what the sample gives you. Use a 60 cm cable and another 80 cm.
Sample: 10 cm x 10 cm: 20 points and 24 runs.
